1. WIRING DESIGN:

We follow #Room wise wiring infrastructure , same as normal switch board wiring. The RAKO wiring infastructure is very simple for a normal electrician to understand.
Considering its conventionally wired design, you have an #insurance & assurance that if we & RAKO fails for any reason, you can go back to standard switch board operation. The #wiring cost that you spend here is the same you are going to spend on a standard mechanical switch boardconcept.

It is #Centralised wiring Architecture where by all the circuits / electrical OFF's needs to be pulled to a centralised location & communication cable to each keypads needs to be pulled. Considering the wiring infrastructure is not so simple & lengthy wires, the cabling architecture turns out to be very
expensive. In case there is problem with electrical wires, considering the length of the wire, it becomes difficult for electricians to also find the fault. Considering #"All Eggs in one basket " concept, if there is any short circuit / fire at central location, it can transmit to entire house quickly.
If you #decide to go back to basic switch board operation , you need to get rewiring done & work involved to do so is as good as making a new house. Eventually the #total cost of ownership in case of a wired system is very high considering

2. CENTRALISED PROCESSOR:

We follow a #decentralised brain concept with no central brain / power supply concept. Each back end module is independent in terms of its memory, processing power, surge protection, Etc. & there is no dependency on a brain for its functioning

3. BACK END MODULE CONFIGURATION:

It's an #independent circuit design & for every circuit of dimming & On/Off, we have independent module & thus in case of a failure of one module, only one circuit of the room will get affected. Considering 3 layers of protection built into each RAKO module, chance of a RAKO module failing at site is very less.

Dimmer / Relays are in #multiple Channel Modules. For e.g., In Case Of Failure Of 1 Module Of 8 Channel Relay, all 8 Channels will not work. Thus The Entire Room Or Multiple Room Lights can get affected as 1 module channels might be shared between 1 or more rooms.
4. BUILT IN PROTECTION:

#Back end module based protection is not available & so protection needs to be taken care by Integrator at Distribution board level only. Protection is designed at input power level to the DB & not at each & every circuit level.

Considering the back end modules are single channel, the #system design is perfectly optimized to have exact no. of modules in your site. If there is any increase / decrease in no. of circuits, you can order the exact no. of modules.

Considering it’s a multiple channel back end module design, there can be a scenario that you need to go for 4/8 channel back end module, where you have only 1 additional circuit to be connected. There might be lot of #redudant circuits in the design.

#Addition of any more circuits in same room or addition of lighting automation in another room, can be easily adapted without any wiring change. #Adding keypads to existing room or converting an existing switch board to a RAKO automation keypad #is possible without any wiring change.
